About us

Our school motto is "In Fide Scientiam", which is Latin for "To our faith, add knowledge" and sums up what we at Ivy Prep are all about. We are a Christian international school offering a well-rounded program broadly based on the new British National Curriculum and Cambridge International Examinations programs.

We are blessed with a team of well-trained and hard-working teachers, who are genuinely dedicated to and love their jobs!  Our principal also loves to teach, spending much of her time in the classrooms teaching various lessons at all levels whilst helping to further develop our teachers sharing teaching ideas and pedagogy.

As a staff body, we work hard to ensure that all children have a solid foundation in each area of learning, as foundation forms the basis for future learning. We strive to build confidence in each child regardless of age or ability.  We work to ensure that children are able to think, reason for themselves and communicate their ideas clearly.  So far, we are especially pleased all of our graduating secondary school students have gained highly competitive places at academically selective schools.

We allow our students to make mistakes without fear of ridicule or reprisal, to take risks in their learning and encourage them to reach for the stars!  We take time to understand each student as an individual learner and adapt our classroom instruction to suit their unique learning needs. We encourage students to develop their talents and interests and embrace technology as a vital tool in the teaching and learning process.

We recognise our parents as critical building blocks of each child's learning journey; partnership with our parents is crucial to learning and we emphasise working in harmony with our families sharing successes, achievements and targets at every given opportunity.
